Quantity Surveyor required for flagship £120m Liverpool City Centre scheme. The relevant candidate will have experience, preferably gained with a main contractor, of new build schemes in the commercial/retail and or residential marketplace.
Suitable candidates are likely to have strong negotiation skills, be au-fait with all aspects of pre and post contract arbitration, and will be keen to develop their own careers at one of, if not the, UK’s No.1 bluechip contractor.

A national contractor with a strong regional base have a current requirement for a Project Manager to deliver commercial and retail new build schemes to the value of £15m. The relevant candidates are likely to have worked on comparable value projects, preferably within a main contractor environment. The successful candidate will be the No.1 on site, reporting directly into a visiting Contracts Manager, and will be heavily involved in the full life cycle of all the projects that fall under their remit.

My client has a current requirement for a Contracts Manager, ideally with new build commercial and industrial experience, to take full life cycle control of up to 5 projects concurrently. The successful candidate is likely, although this is not essential, to have a demonstrable track record of delivering multiple projects to the value of £10m, and will be equally at ease in their dealings with both clients and sub-contractors. This is a transient role, as my client have a strong reputation for organic growth and promoting heavily from within, henceforth a senior managerial role within the organisation is something that is not unobtainable. This position has arisen due to the success of their structured tender approach, and excellent repeat business opportunities, leading to a healthy 2007 order book.

My client is currently seeking to add to their site teams by recruiting an agent, from an engineering background, to oversee up to 4 site based engineers on a variety of new build schemes across the Merseyside region. The relevant candidate will most probably have gained their experience at a regional or national contractor, and will have gained exposure to new build schemes to the value of £10m+.

The relevant candidate will most likely have gained experience working on new build sites for an established contractor, and should be au-fait with the usage of contemporary engineering equipment.

My client, due to strong organic growth and a full 2007 order book, now require an estimator to work as part of their successful Bid team out of either their Manchester or Liverpool offices. Reporting directly into a Bid Manager / Director, the relevant candidate is likely to have gained experience of working to the highest possible standards within a main contracting environment. This position has arisen, as stated above, due to the success of their tender approach and their healthy repeat business portfolio. Reporting directly into the Commercial Director, the relevant candidate is likely to have gained experience of working to the highest possible standards within a main contracting environment. The role will involve the hands-on management of up to 8 surveying staff, and in that sense the ability and experience of running a commercial team will be a distinct advantage. There is an opportunity available to become a critical member of the management team within the company, and to rise to the very top of ones chosen profession.
