Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG Manufacturing business at their flagship Cardiff site, to assist in their recruitment for a Multi Skilled Engineer on a Monday to Friday day shift. The Multi-skilled Engineer role is a fast-paced role that will be responsible for working as an active part of our cross-functional maintenance team. You will provide a multi-skilled engineering resource and first line maintenance to the site covering both mechanical and electrical, breakdown, fault finding and scheduled maintenance activities. To ensure that the site manufacturing equipment is maintained and available for use, continuously monitoring and improving processes.
Working Hours:
Days, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Lots of overtime available.
The role:
As a Multi-skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and breakdown support to all areas of the site including all service facilities. You will gain understanding of the impact the facilities have on the running of the plant, to ensure the site runs at optimum capacity, through quality engineering, striving to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimising all downtimes.
This role provides opportunity for learning and development, and they would take an active role in project developments.
Required Skills & Experience:
Candidates would need to have similar Engineering experience and hold the relevant Engineering qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline. Food Manufacturing is desired but not essential, but ideally you will have some other FMCG / Manufacturing experience.
